Rapperswil, a city on the southern shore of Lake Zurich, really offers a wonderful backdrop for weddings. While I slowly approached the city over a causeway on this beautiful summer’s day, it shimmered golden in the afternoon sun. Accordingly, I could hardly wait for the wedding photo shoot in Rapperswil to begin! I was also looking forward to seeing my young and likeable newlyweds, which I met during a previous photo shoot in the city of Zurich.
Their wedding photo shoot in Rapperswil
I met the two at the lake shore for a first couple shoot, in which I really felt their love every single second. For example, in an incomparably romantic moment, the groom bent over his (still) fiancée and kissed her tenderly on the nose. Her answer – a gentle smile – immortalised their love forever on my photos.
The ceremony took place at Schloss Rapperswil, which both majestically and invitingly towers over the old town of Rapperswil. As we slowly made our way to the wedding room in the so-called kleiner Rittersaal, I noticed the cordiality and relaxation of the wedding party. Regarding the ceremony itself and the joy of the newlywed couple, I best let my photos speak for themselves :).
After a group photo on the Lindenhügel I “kidnapped” my couple for a photographic tour of the old town. With its cobblestone streets, colorful houses, picturesque parks and view of Lake Zurich and the nearby Glarus Alps, it is really a fantastic place for photo shoots.
At the end of this wonderful afternoon, a cute aperitif took place in the Rapperswil council house. When I finally walked down the stairs of the council house towards the train station, I really felt like I could fly …. Such a wonderful day!
