This intimate autumn gay honeymoon photoshoot in Switzerland, to be exact in Lauterbrunnen overviewing the majestic Jungfraujoch, was an exciting event this year.
I’ve rarely come across a love story like this one or seen people who would radiate so much love for each other like Patrick and Jon. They also spread incredibly warm feelings wherever they go, making people around them smile. I was happy to accompany them on this photoshoot during their Swiss honeymoon trip.
Gay honeymoon photoshoot in Switzerland
I got a message from Patrick and Jon saying they would be spending the first part of their honeymoon in the Lauterbrunnen area and would like to do a photoshoot. They wished to have some great mountain views, and from where they were staying the right kind of setting was easy to reach.
We met in Lauterbrunnen near Chalet Pironnet, where you can get the best view on the waterfall. Strolling through the autumn mountain landscape, Patrick and Jon looked great in their green wedding suits. Jon showed me that inside his tailor-made jacket his name got misspelled as “John”. However, this detail didn’t manage to ruin their big day.
Next, we took a cable car to Grütschalp. This station offers a breathtaking view on the snow-covered Jungfraujoch and the Lauterbrunnen valley. With the mountain panorama in the background and the green, flowery cow lurking from behind, well… you can hardly get a photo any more Swiss than that:)
Off-road adventure
Not far from the Grütschalp station, our photo-hiking trip got quite adventurous. In search of a better view, we had to climb almost vertically, risking a mudslide any minute, all the way back down. This time I really thought we wouldn’t make it… Yet Patrick and Jon showed true grit and managed the climb in their full wedding attire, including soft moccasins. Respect, guys!
Switzerland is LGTB-friendly
Switzerland is known as an LGTB-friendly travel destination. This applies especially to large cities such as Geneva, Basel and of course Zurich, where during the annual Zurich Pride Festival even some zebra crossings change colors to become a rainbow. Also during our honeymoon photoshoot in Lauterbrunnen, Patrick and Jon received nothing but love. It was a pleasure for me to see how other people were greeting those two!
